Saúde Mental dos Trabalhadores da Educação / Mental Health in Education Workers

This study involves a literature review, carried out in June 2020 in the scientific databases, making it necessary to use DeCs (health sciences descriptors): mental health, workers and education, published in the period from 2017 to 2020 in Portuguese. 110 articles were found with those described in the databases, of which only 09 studies were used for analysis. ISSN 2595-6825 11522 elucidate, through scientific references, the understanding about the mental health of education workers to broaden the understanding about the reality faced by this class of workers. Studies have shown that teachers' mental health is weakened in both the public and private sectors, where extraclass activities, double shifts, symptoms of stress, anxiety and guilt for not performing tasks were prevalent. Few studies were observed on this topic and the need to expand the discussion about improving working conditions with a view to preventing mental illness related to the work of education professionals.
