The Gender division of work travels back to early indian communities, which used to distinguish activities according to gender. At some tribes, women played some important roles such as to plant, to cook, to take care of children and to make handcraft because in the indigenous overview the women were qualified to do this kind of activities. Even though the evolution of female role has showed up as a rising idea, gender-rating concepts have prevailed amongst working environments. This article analyzes female position within production of seedlings in nurseries. This article aims to prove that women turn out to be more skillful in this kind of work because their average degree of attention and caring evaluating are known traditionally and it also aims characterize their work conditions in this sector in order to improve their participation. Questionnaires were applied to three nurseries seedlings producers located in the municipality of Marituba, São Francisco and Redenção, both in the state of Pará. The questionnaires contained eight questions regarding the productive sector of seedlings in the nursery. We can conclude that despite advances in women's labor rights, there is still inequality in the working conditions and remuneration of women working in forest nurseries.
