Over time, the use of technologies has gained a large space in the form of teaching-learning. This technology must be applied in a responsible manner, having an effective pedagogical proposal as its primary source. This study aimed to describe the study script as a pedagogical practice in the classroom, contributing to better school performance. The methodology used to build this article is based on a literature review on the theme presented. Active learning methodologies proved to be based on autonomy and focusing on the development of competences and skills, based on collaborative learning and interdisciplinarity. Learning becomes more significant when there is a direct and active role of the student in this process, and for this, the more attractive, more instigating and closer to the real experience, the greater this interaction will be. It is concluded that the active methodologies are becoming more and more routine within the teaching-learning process, be it in basic or higher education. It is known about the importance of the learner's autonomy in this process, being the active form of learning proven to be more effective and facilitating. It should also be noted that within this methodology, the teacher becomes an advisor, and the student is the protagonist of this learning.
