American cutaneous leishmaniasis is a non-contagious disease transmitted through aerial species, being more prevalent in urban expansion areas in the forest areas and with clinical characteristics of paramount importance for health professionals. Therefore, the objective of the study is identifying the epidemiological profile of patients affected by American cutaneous leishmaniasis in the municipality of Santarém, Pará, from 2008 to 2017. This is a descriptive quantitative study through the analysis of data available by the division of Health index (DIVISA) in the Disease Notification System Database (SINAN). There were 1244 documented cases during the period chosen by the survey. In addition, there was a prevalence of males, showing that these are 90% of those infected. The type of diagnosis is clinical and laboratory, with a total of 1205 cases and the most prevalent and cutaneous type of injury with 1229 occurrences. It was concluded, therefore, that compared to the remaining epidemiological data in Brazil, inland, such as Santarém, samples in endemic regions and these alarming epidemiological data.
