Understanding the difficulties of students in learning algebra in elementary school is very common in school reality. Teachers find that students cannot attribute meaning to the variables present in the equations, make great confusion and even reject this novelty. It was through this fact that arose the interest of researching and studying algebra in order to encourage the development of students' algebraic thinking, favoring their ability to generalize and understand algebraic language.
