Argentina has gone through historical moments of economic and population policies that led to the development and maintenance of slums where persistent social inequality appears as the generator of various debates and proposals. These marginal zones, interpellated in different political and social moments, are in recent times protagonists of an emerging literature that responds and resists from the art and the word to the historical situation of exclusion and oblivion, giving rise to a new kind of literature that I will call postcolonial and marginal: the villera literature.
