L'examen des données archéologiques et épigraphiques relatives au site de La Bâtie-Montsaléon, Mons Seleucus, dans la vallée du Buëch, conduit à en proposer une interprétation nouvelle. ll s'agit d'un vicus auquel est associé un sanctuaire contemporain de caractère indigène. Connu surtout en Aquitaine, ce type d'agglomération paraît bien représenté en Gaule Narbonnaise.The study of archaeological and epigraphic data relative to the site of La Bâtie-Montsaléon I Mons Seleucus, in the valley of the Buëch, allows us to propose a new interpretation of this site. It's a vicus associated with a contemporary sanctuary of native character.
