The research aims to analyze the components of the management measurement system present in the Venezuelan oil industry. The study was located as descriptive, with a non-experimental, transectional, and field design. The population was made up of the managers and leaders of the five (5) management departments for planning and managing the oil industry in the western region. For the data collection, the survey technique was applied, with a questionnaire containing 13 items. The validation of the instrument was carried out through expert judgment. Reliability was calculated using the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, whose result was 0.91. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, through the study of arithmetic means and standard deviation. The definition of objectives, management indicators, standards and indices have a high presence as components of the management measurement system.
