Although the biodiversity of the phytoplankton community in the State of São Paulo is well known, in Guarulhos, the second-largest municipality in the state, the knowledge of the phytological flora is still incipient. Thus, this work presents a list of species of the phytoplankton community identified in urban lakes in the city of Guarulhos. Nine lakes were analyzed between 2016 and 2019. Water samples were collected on the subsurface with a plankton net (20 μm) and preserved in 4% formaldehyde.
