The aim of the system of modern education is to create favorable conditions for a person’s self-discovery and his or her personal and professional development. Modern education at all stages sets an important goal for educational institutions to educate a person who is able to work independently and perform certain duties responsibly. However, to educate a person who meets the requirements of modern society is possible only by developing a young person’s certain values and qualities, one of which is self-organization skills. The relevance of the study is defined by the found contradictions between the need to create activities in the education system aimed at the development of students’ self-organization skills and the lack of specific pedagogical technologies aimed at achieving this goal; between the available evidence-based methods of selfdetermination in the educational process and the fact that most students lack self-organization skills. The aim of the article is to identify and characterize the conditions necessary for the development of the self-organization ability in educational activities of students of Cadet School and Mariinsky women's gymnasiums; to study students’ socio-psychological characteristics such as personality traits, behavior; to determine the level of self-organization. The research methodology includes concepts and innovative models of person-centered and activity approaches (E. V. Bondarevskaya, A. A. Verbitsky, L. S. Vygotsky, V. V. Davydov, A. N. Leontiev, etc.); theory of problem-based learning (V. I. Andreyev, T. V. Kudryavtsev, M. M. Levina, Р. I. Pidkasisty, L. M. Fridman, A. V. Khutorskoy and others); studies of self-regulation (K. A. Abulkhanova-Slavskaya, V. B. Zinchenko, A. A. Leontiev), characteristics of the temporary management of everyday life activities (T. A. Dobrokhotova, H. A. Musina, H. H. Bragina, Yu. M. Zabrodin). The diagnostic complex includes the Methodology for the Assessment of School Motivation suggested by N. G. Lukanova, the method of “Value orientations” by M. Rokich, Test of Life-Meaningful Orientations by D. A. Leontiev, Questionnaire of Self-Organization Activities by E. J. Mandrikova, Questionnaire on Reflexivity by A. V. Karpov, the questionnaire “Style of Behavioral Self-Regulation” by V. I. Morosanova. The study was carried out in the regional state budgetary institution of general education “Krasnoyarsk Cadet Corps Named After A. I. Lebed”, regional state budgetary institution of general education “Lesosibirskiy Cadet Corps”, regional state budgetary institution of general education “Sharypovskiy Cadet Corps” and the regional state budgetary institution of general education “Krasnoyarsk Mariinsky Women's Gymnasium-Boarding School”.
