The problem of the “deferred” completion of the facade in the ancient architecture must be considered as a true reconstruction that establish a special relationship between pre-existence and the new addition. Several churches can be reinterpreted using some of the original drawings in order to evaluate language choices made by architects of the past. This is the case of the San Lorenzo church in Montedinove (Ascoli Piceno).
