Ba3Co2Mn0.5xTi0.5xFe24-xO41 (x=0-0.6) samples were prepared by using a conventional ceramic method. The samples had a the single crystallographic phase of hexagonal Z-type ferrite, which suggests that Fe3+ ions are replaced by Mn2+ and Ti4+ ions. Substituted samples of Ba3Co2Mn0.5xTi0.5xFe24-xO41 with x=0.4 had a maximum μ' of 25.7 and a μ'×fr of 17.6 GHz. The M-T curves exhibited an anomalous drop below the Curie temperature, which reflects the change from in-plane magnetic anisotropy to uniaxial anisotropy with increasing temperature. The temperature of the anomalous drop rose from 533 K to 559 K due to the substitution. This resulted in an improvement of μ' and μ'×fr.
