Design of Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) as a heater of Refrigrant R134-a on Organic Rankine Cycle. The exhaust gas from the pyrolysis process stores enough thermal energy with temperature up to 800°C, it can be used to convert the refrigerant phase R-134a from the liquid phase to gas. Refrigerant R-134a, which is turned into a gas, is used to set the turbine as a generator drive so that it can generate electricity in the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) cycle. Refrigerant R-134a does not absorb heat from the pyrolysis process directly. The heat from pyrolysis is absorbed through the thermal oil cycle then used to change the R-134a base in the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG). The HRSG design in this study is a type of shell and tube heat exchanger system. Where thermal oil has hot temperature flows in the shell, and refrigerant R-134a, which has cold temperature flows in the tube. Heat exchange occurs when refrigerant R-134a enters the tubes, and thermal oil enters the shell. In designing this HRSG, three pressure variations were used, namely 8 bars, 10 bars, and 12 bars. Data on temperature, pressure, tube diameter, and mass flow rate are input in the HTRI Xchanger suite software and then processed by the software to produce an output in the form of heat transfer rate. The values of heat transfer rates were 2.084 kJ / s, 2.622 kJ /s, and 3.02 kJ / s, respectively. So that it can be concluded that the most optimal results are at 12 bar pressure with a heat transfer rate of 3.02 kJ / s
