Cilem tohoto souhrnneho sděleni je poukazat na limitace echokardiografických metod, dosud použivaných k průkazu mechanicke asynchronie kontrakce leve komory, a k předpovědi responderů na lecbu biventrikularni stimulaci. Tyto limitace jsou zavažne a mohou odpovidat za neuspěch echokardiografických parametrů při identifikaci responderů na biventrikularni stimulaci, který byl dokumentovan ve studii PROSPECT.
