飲酒に起因しないメチル及びエチルアルコールの摂取状況を明らかにするために実験を行った.1) ガスクロマトグラフィーによるメチル及びエチルアルコールの同時分析法を開発した.2) 陰膳方式によって得られた1人1日当りの摂取量は, メチルアルコール076mg, エチルアルコール1206, 110mgであった.3) Market-basket studyによって得られた1人1日当りの摂取量は, メチルアルコール8.1mg, エチルアルコール865mgであった.4) 食品添加物摂取量調査方式を応用して得られた1人1日当りの摂取量は, メチルアルコール8.8mg, エチルアルコール577mgであった.5) メチルアルコール含量の多い食品は, 野菜や果実類であった. エチルアルコールは, 色々な食品から検出されたが, その中でもバンやみそ, しょうゆに多く含まれていた.
