Bullying behavior in adolescents in junior high schools has a serious impact on perpetrators and victims, the impact will be felt into adulthood. The cases of bullying in Indonesia in 2018 amounted to 47.9%. The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in health education with the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method and brainstorming in increasing adolescent knowledge about bullying prevention in SMP Negeri 2 Karangtengah Cianjur in 2019. This type of research is a quasi experiment with a two group pretest-posttest design research design. The study population was 300 junior high school class VII students. The sample size technique uses the estimation formula in one population, so that the sample size is 15 respondents for the Focus Group Discussion group and 15 respondents for the brainstorming group. The sampling method used was systematic random sampling technique to determine the sample in each class. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire. Data analysis used Wilcoxon and Man Whitney tests. The results showed that there was an influence of the Focus Group Discussion method in increasing knowledge about bullying prevention (p = 0.001), there was an effect of the brainstorming method in increasing knowledge about bullying prevention (p = 0.003) and there was no difference between the Focus Group Discussion and brainstorming methods in increasing knowledge (p = 0.210). The conclusion of the research is that the Focus Group Discussion and brainstorming methods have no difference in preventing bullying . Suggestions for school institutions to be able to apply Focus Group Discussion and brainstorming methods in increasing student knowledge about bullying prevention.
