The genus Cryptophagus (Coleoptera: Cryptophagidae) from the Palaearctic Region is still quite unknown in spite of the rather large number of papers published on it (see e.g.: Ljubarsky 1992, 1997, 2000, 2002, 2014, Otero 2011, 2013, Otero & Johnson 2013). Therefore, this paper aims to contribute to their knowledge in the Palaearctic Region. This paper is based on material collected by the researchers of the Hungarian Natural History in the Caucasus.
