The article discusses the current model of financial strategies in the context of criteria for comparing their conceptual foundations and efficiency, as one of the key links in the chain of production and economic activity of any company is its management. The article suggests the study of the use of matrix methods in the diagnosis of the financial and economic situation, and, above all, in the analysis of the strategic position of the company on the market. The article shows the division of financial matrices dimensional and three-dimensional. The authors give an explanation that the manifestation of the big advantages of the two-dimensional matrix acts visibility, presents the results in the form of three-dimensional matrices, together with a wide range of possible financial strategies and as such financial matrix is a technical advantage of using the model. Also reviewed and approved by study models such as the matrix ML Dorofeeva designed to optimize the current financing, the matrix of financial strategies Franshona J. and J. Roman, as well as the matrix of financial performance Sorokina. Given the strengths and weaknesses of each of the matrices used in the research paper, and evaluated the competitive position of a number of petrochemical sector companies (PJSC "NC" Rosneft "," PAT "Tatneft" and PAO "LUKOIL") using the models in question.
