The article presents the analysis of the current state of the institute’s computing base and the identification of problems requiring its modernization for conducting economic research at the world level. The author formulates the most important problems of modernizing the existing computer base and the ways of their solution. The creation of an integrated information space for economic institution of higher education with the aim of its subsequent incorporation into European and world space is the focus of the article. The author also discusses the topics of the implementation of modern toolkit, new information technologies, information protection frames on a computing base, as well as other issues that are of great importance for improving the quality and effectiveness of economic research. The conclusions and proposals presented in the work can be used in preparing the development strategy of the institute.
