Experimental results are reported on local heat transfer coefficients at the surface of an electrically heated mock fuel rod in a concentric annulus with radius ratio of 0.317. Preheated air was used as coolant gas (inlet gas temperature: 20°-500°C, maximum surface temperature of the mock fuel rod: 660°C).
