腐食 をは じめ とす る固液界面現象 は,非 線形現象 であ る。非線形現象 は個別 に特異的 な 性質 を 持 つ 。著者 ら は,個 々の非線形現象 が持 つ特質 を,セ ンサ として積極 的に利用す る ことを試 みている。すでに著者 らは,金 属 の不動態化過程 が,環 境 の組成 に敏感 に影 響 される こと を利用 して,高 濃度硫酸溶液 中の水素 イオ ン濃 度 と硫 酸 イオ ン濃度 が同時にかつ簡便 に測定 で き る こ と を示 し た1)。 本論文 では,リ ン酸―過酸 化水素溶液 中に お い て観察 される鉄の 自律的な電位振 動に着 目した。電位 振動が安 定な リミッ トサ イクルを形成 する2)こ とを用いて,そ の 周波数 の測 定か ら温度の 自動計測 を試み る。 本セ ンサの利 点は,次 の とお りであ る。(1)本 センサ では温度が単位時間内のパルス数(周 波数)に 変換 され る。パルス列はデ ィジタル信号 として,コ ンピュータに 直接取 り入れ るこ とが可能であ る。(2)信 号は外部電源 を必要 とせず,自 律的に発生す る。(3)出 力がパルス列 であ るため,信 号伝送中 の外乱を受けに くい。
