本研究は, 中央部に断層を有する地すべりを対象に地下水検層と水質分析を併せて実施し, 面的な地下水流動を明らかにしようと試みたものである。この結果, 還元帯 (不透水層) の上位, 下位に流動層を持ち, 特に下位の流動層が地すべり滑動に影響を与えていることが明らかとなり, 断層は還元帯の上位流動層の浅層地下水を下位へ供給する役割を果たしていると想定された。
