図-1嶺 北地方で発生した土石流発生箇所 か し,土 石流の流下特性 を把握する上で重要な洪水位, 流下幅,流 速といった水理量はこれまでほとんど注 目さ れず,報 告例はほとんどない。これらの水理量は,砂 防 堰堤などの対策工の設計 ・計画に必要なパラメー タを設 定する上で重要なファクターであ り,各 現場における実 績値の蓄積が望 まれている(水 野ほか,2003)。 しか し, 既往の土石流調査報告では,「流下痕跡か ら洪水位 を推 定した」というような記述はされているものの,具 体的 にどのような事象を流下痕跡 として検出しているのか詳 細に記載されたものはない。そこで本報告では,高 知県 嶺北地方のいくつかの土石流発生渓谷において,ど のよ うな事象が土石流の流 下痕跡 として取 り扱えるのかを検 討 し,そ の検出に努めた。また,今 回の調査で検出した 流下痕跡か ら土石流洪水位を推定した。
