Albinism has been observed in many avian species, and also recorded in the Little Tern Sterna albifrons (Sage 1962, Brit Birds 55: 201-225). However, complete albinism lacking pigments over entire body occurs very infrequently compared to other types of albinism (Sage 1963, Brit. Birds 56: 409-416; Gross 1965, Banding 36: 67-71; Steinbacher 1968, Natur u. Museum, 98: 161-166; Bird-Welty 1975, "The Life of Birds" 2nd edn., so it may worth while reporting such an instance in the Little Tern.
