This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the father’s responsibility for the livelihood of the child after the divorce in the Makassar Religious Court relating to the imposition of child living aimed at the protection and fulfillment of children’s rights and to find out the factors that influence the fulfillment of the father’s responsibility for the livelihood of the child after the marriage.The method used by researchers is the empirical juridical method or the normative and empirical approach which uses primary data or which is directly in the field which still requires further processing. This kind of data is obtained through interviews and examines secondary data or theoretical data obtained through library studies in the form of books, scientific work and legislation and documentation obtained through a government agency relating to research.The results showed that the effectiveness of the implementation of the responsibility of fathers to the livelihood of children after divorce has not been going well or effectively. The factors that cause it are economic factors, the mother is able to provide and communication factorsBased on available data, it is expected that there will be a review of the execution of the defendant, then there will be a guarantee in the verdict of judges and strict witnesses so that the verdict can be implemented and the need for legal counseling related to the problem of prosecuting the rights of the child.
