COVID-19 had a major impact on transit ridership and behavior patterns in New South Wales, Australia, and around the world. This paper evaluates impact on on-demand ridership levels using data from the New South Wales Open Data Portal. By separating services by urban and regional locality, it became clear that COVID-19 had impact patronage in different ways. The results demonstrate that locational context can fundamentally impact on-demand service uptake.
