Habits of intolerance and non-recognition of interpersonal differences, have been softened in the course of historical processes, however, attitudes of disrespect and prejudice still coexist, thus creating an aegis of the "I", which is present in all spheres, be they religious, political, economic and cultural, and this differentialism is evident in these contexts and that need to be thought from reciprocal acts of tolerance. This article uses otherness as an object of study, provoking as a preponderant tool to help solve the numerous socially occurring empasses that characterize individualism and hedonism. In order to clarify the theme in vogue, this article uses the assumptions of Martin Buber, Emanuel Levinas, Alan Touraine, Gilles Lipovetsk, among others.
