. An important factor is understanding the patterns of formation and forecasting of the psychological readiness of the EMERCOM employees to work in extreme conditions. For this, it is required to identify personal resources that would provide an optimal psycho-emotional state and the ability to counteract the negative influences of stress factors in extreme situations during the entire period of the professional activities. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of social frustration and professional burnout of employees of crisis centers of the EMERCOM of the Russian Federation.  Methods. The study involved 105 personnel of the EMERCOM of the Russian Federation in the Volgograd region. To study social frustration and professional burnout, the authors used the techniques "Professional burnout", "Strategies for overcoming stressful situations – SACS," Diagnostics of the level of social frustration"," R. Cattell's 16-factor personality questionnaire "form A". To process the obtained results, the methods of mathematical statistics were used: r-Spearman's, one-way analysis of variance, and principal component analysis.  Research results. It was revealed that the integral indicator of burnout increases with age (r = 0.292; p = 0.002), and also positively correlates with indicators of emotional exhaustion (r = 0.866; p = 0.000), depersonalization (r = 0.847; p = 0.002), and the level of frustration (r = 0.496; p = 0.000). It was also revealed that with age the employees' self-sufficiency significantly decreases (F = 5.175; p = 0.007) and the "control of desires" increases (F = 7.536; p = 0.001). Conclusion. The novelty of the study lies in determining the specifics of the psychological readiness to act in extreme situations of the individual in the context of his or her socio-psychological organization, professional responsibility and the stability of his or her optimal psycho-emotional state to social frustration. The obtained results can be used as recommendations for the personnel of crisis centers of the EMERCOM of the Russian Federation for vocational training and psychological support.
