Traditional Nias houses have adaptive properties to the context of the geographical climate. Although at first this house was designed as a form of defense, the climate adaptation of this building has a unique design factor. The case study in this study uses the basic three typologies of traditional Nias houses (North, Central and South). Each of these typologies has a similar design factor, but with different positions and sizes of openings, and the mass geometry of each. This study seeks to investigate the performance of wind forces produced from traditional Nias houses. The method in this study uses descriptive analysis based on CFD simulation. The results of the study revealed differences in wind force patterns in each case study. In addition, the correlation between the floor geometry factor, roof geometry, position, and the number of openings in the wind force acting in the room was also found. Changes in the variation of the gradual openings in the design factors of the three case studies (NorthTengah-Selatan Nias) also had a gradual impact on wind force performance in each case study.
