In many sub-Saharan African countries adolescents living with HIV receive treatment care and support at pediatric facilities. But as they become adults the extent to which they are retained in care is not well understood. To ensure adolescents successfully make this transition and stay in care the Council-led HIVCore project examined factors that may influence their retention and adherence. A new report recommends strategies to keep them in adult care programs.
