Paracetamol (PARA), chemically known as N-(4-hydroxyphenyl) acetamide (Figure 1A) is the widely employed non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that acts by inhibition of cyclooxygenase-1/2 (COX-1/COX-2) enzyme which prevents the metabolism of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins H2 and E2 thereby lower the hypothalamic set-point to reduced fever.1,2 Ibuprofen (IBP), an aryl acetic acid derivative that is chemically known as (RS)2-(4-(2-methylpropyl)phenyl)propanoic acid (Figure 1B) is a well-known NSAID preferably act by the inhibition of COX-2.3,4
