Science education plays a very important role, as it is oriented towards improving citizenship, with perspectives for the development of subjects as active citizens and responsible users of current technology. Thus, this paper aimed to point out and discuss the observations made in the early years of elementary school regarding science education. The study was conducted in Serrita-PE, targeting the faculty and students of the 1st to 5th grade A of the Elementary School of Menino Jesus Municipal School. Information regarding how the school environment can and / or has potential and difficulty for the differential teaching of Sciences, the formation of teachers, how are these classes, the types of methodologies used, the behavior of teachers and students during the execution was recorded. of these classes. The techniques used for data collection were observations and registration in the ethnographic notebook, which occurred in the five classes and throughout the countryside school, and interviewed through a questionnaire containing objective and subjective questions. The results of the observations and interviews made it possible to identify a critical science teaching, ranging from the methodologies used, the behavior of the teacher and students during the approach of this teaching, regarding the school environment. its cleanliness that contributes to the teaching-learning process of knowledge. With regard to science teaching, it can be concluded that, in view of the above, it was noted that there was no concern about science teaching and learning, since teachers favor mathematics and Portuguese subjects rather than emphasizing in science education during science classes.
