TOMINAGAYoshihide and OGIHARA Takayoshi ABSTRACT CFD analysis are applied to the flowfield around a cubic building model placed in turbulent boundary layer. The results are compared with experimental data and flow visualization in order to clarify the effect of the velocity fluctuations on the prediction accuracy of time-averaged velocity fields around the building. Special attention is paid to the prediction accuracy for reproducing the flow behind the building. It is clarified that reproducing the priodic velocity fluctuation behind the building is very important for prediction of the distributions of velocity fields.
