Nowadays Brazilian educational frame has shown us some different focuses that aim at both qualifying the way of improving scholastic knowledge and also supporting people’s insertion in thelabour market. Having in mind these premises, the National Integration Program of Professional Education for Young and Adult People (PROEJA) has been the purpose of studies that aim to analyze and structure actions trying to account for this kind of education, which is not still consolidated. According to this statement, the objective of this work is to share refl ections, starting from some profi les of the reality in the Administrative Process Technical Course (High School level) in this education program for young and adult people implemented in Instituto Federal Sul-rio-grandense. In this article we have brief records of this insertion, considering the characteristics and perspectives of the students, the school evasion, the institutional pedagogic challenges and the awareness of abilities in this kind of education. These reasons point out that young and adult people instruction is a process with lots of searches in relation to its consolidation.
