BMNVのエーテル, 食塩濃度およびpHに対する抵抗性をクルマエビ稚仔を用いた感染実験により調べた。エーテルには感受性であった。食塩濃度25液では10時間, 12.5液では24時間以内にそれぞれ不活化されたが, それ以下の濃液では24時間活性を保持した。低いpHに対しては比較的感受性であった。すなわち, pH1.0では10分, 1.5と2.0では30分, 2.5では60分, 3.0と4.0では180分以内にそれぞれ不活化された。高いpHに対しては抵抗性でpH13.0においても180分間活性を保持していた
