“Industrial” samples of three low-alloy CrMoVW steel types exposed to long-term use in power plants (30,900–141,500 h at temperatures of 500–510 °C) were analysed using analytical electron microscopy. The carbides M 7 C 3 , M 2 C, MC, V 4 C 3  and M 23 C 6  were found in the body-centered cubic matrix. It was ascertained that, even after a very long service time, samples were not entirely in a state of equilibrium. The difference between experimental and calculated results is briefly discussed.
