In the present contribution, the effect of temperature on three different physical properties of pure metals is highlighted. In several examples, the linear behavior of these parameters in a large temperature range is explained by the linear or at least nearly linear behavior of the specific heat as a function of the temperature of pure metals. Additionally, it is outlined that in the case of nearly equal electric resistances the alteration of Young's modulus at equal temperature increase is quite similar for two metals of the same subgroup of the periodic system which have the same structure.
