真空蒸着な どで蒸発 原子 の特性を評価す る場 合,蒸 発 原子 のフラ ックス と速 度を測定す る必要があ る.フ ラッ クス測定方法は膜厚モ ニタとして種 々の方法が知 られて い る1,2).一方,速 度 は蒸発部 の温 度 で決 まる熱平均 速 度を仮定 し,通 常測定 しないこ とが多い2).し か し,電 子 ビームで金属を蒸発 させ る場合,金 属試料 を高温 で蒸 発 させ るため,蒸 気流が断熱膨張 して速度が大 き く変化 す ることが予想 され る.こ の場合,蒸 発原子の特性 を評 価す るには速度 を測定す る必要が生 じる.そ こで,報 告 者 らは蒸着時の蒸 発原子 の フラ ックスと速度 とを同時に 測定す る方法について検討 し,マ イ クロバ ランスに よる 方法を試みた.今 回は,銅 とウラ ンとを電子 ビームで蒸 発 させ た場合について測定 した結果 を報告す る.
