磁気浮上型 ターボ分子ポ ンプは他 の方式 のポ ンプに比 ベ トリチ ウムイ ンベ ン トリーが比較 的少 ない.そ のた め,D-T核 融 合反応 実験 装置 の真 空 ポ ンプ として有望 視 されている1).ま た,ト リチ ウムガスの分離,回 収, 精製系 の循環 ポ ンプとして も利用可能 であ り2),今 後 ト リチウム取扱い施設 で巾広 く使用 され るもの と考 え られ る.但 し,ト リチ ウム使用量が増大す ると,タ ーボ分子 ポ ンプ材料の汚染 も増加 しメンテナ ンス時の作業者 の安 全確保及び廃棄物処理等が重要な問題 とな ると予測 され る.し か し,こ の ような観点か ら トリチ ウムの汚染 を検 討 した例は見当た らない.他 方,筆 者 らは,こ れ までに トリチ ウムで汚染 され難 い材料を探索するために トリチ ウム吸(収)着 量測定装置を開発 し,デ ー タの蓄積に努 め てきたが3,4),本報 では ターボ分子 ポ ンプの構造 材料 の トリチ ウム汚染 とそ の除染について検討 した結果を報 告す る.
