The main objective of this study was to establish an evaluation method of horizontal building vibration based on subjective response. The current domestic and foreign evaluation methods for environment vibration were applied to subjective responses measured in an experiment. Vibration dose value, which considers the effect of vibration duration with the fourth power, showed a good agreement with the subjective responses. It was found that the evaluation method examined for vertical vibrations in the previous studies gave reasonable evaluation.
