In this study, we demonstrated and visualized a future urban structure. First, we created Compact City Model by constructing an expert system that incorporates Portland's compact city planning and applying it to the regional city of Ube in Japan’s Yamaguchi Prefecture. This system was created based on "rules for population integration" to migrate future population. Then we assessed this model using the population distribution, and the population cover ratio for distance to urban and commercial facilities. Finally, we considered processes for migrating populations. Based on these findings, we aimed to propose new ways to support compact city planning.
