The purpose of this paper is to study the interaction of time and negation in natural language, from a syntax/semantics interface point of view. This requires the definition of linguistically grounded semantic and syntactic representations. This is what we present in this paper; we show how the two representations we propose fit together in a computationally satisfying construction procedure.
