Today it is seen that lots of application of daily life were transferred into online platforms within the scope of Internet of things appeared in accordance with the development of Internet technology in the last years. In this situation, there is important effect of especially Blockchain and other similar technologies’ to become widespread in last few years. Another technology named as Tangle has been developed after Blockchain, and in this respect, it was began to benefit from these two technologies in many fields, particularly in crypto currency. The aim of this study was determined as to compare Blockchain and Tangle systems in terms of infrastructure and functionality which developed in last years within the scope of internet of things. In order to make the required comparisons, literature review which is a qualitative research technique was used. Today Blockchain system was performed in lots of fields, particularly in crypto currency. Furthermore, Tangle has tried to expand its application field in different sectors in addition to crypto currency. In context to the study, comparative strengths and weaknesses of Blockchain and Tangle systems were analysed in the way of infrastructure and functionality, and the results that Tangle system is a more advantageous technology than Blockchain on some matters such as data mining, transaction costs and transaction speed were reached.
