The development and changes of the higher vocational education bring not only opportunities to the ideological and political education of students at higher vocational colleges, but also challenges. At this stage, it is particularly important to strengthen innovative construction of ideological and political education for students at higher vocational colleges. Combined with many years of practical experience, the author of this paper first deeply studies the current development of ideological and political education for students at higher vocational colleges, based on which the main problems are analyzed.
