After a long period of practice and experience in poverty alleviation, President Xi Jinping has put forward the important thought of “targeted poverty alleviation”, which has made an important ideological guidance for China to win the battle against poverty and realize the overall poverty alleviation of rural poor population under the current standard by 2020. As a key area of education funding, schools are also a significant front of targeted poverty alleviation. This paper takes China Journal Full-text Database (CNKI) as the source and “Funding for Education” as keywords. Data is collected, processed and analyzed through relevant literature review from 2014 to 2019 using visualization software CiteSpace. Time distribution, spatial distribution, knowledge base and other important contents of funding education research are analyzed from the perspective of targeted poverty alleviation, and current research focus and future research evolution direction are revealed.
