The Late Triassic foraminifers encountered in the cores from ODP Leg 122 Sites 761 and 764 are, on the basis of Triasina oberhauseri and Triasina hantkeni, late Norian and Rhaetian (Jriasina hantkeni Biozone) in age. The reefal carbonate platform penetrated at both sites is characterized by inner shelf (intertidal to lagoon), patch reef, and outer shelf facies.
