This paper aims to promote critical thinking concerning the teaching practice developed by teachers who work at daycare facilities. The research question was: May an inseparable relation between taking care and educate interfere in teacher’s professional identity development. It is a qualitative research, a case study. I used notes and interviews as research tools. I analysed the interviews contents based upon the meaning nuclear by Aguiar and Ozella (2013). The data content allowed us to think about situations related to the teaching practice of four teachers who participated in this research.
