Murdumuk kurak alanlara adapte olan bir baklagil olarak abiyotik stres faktorlerine karsi bir guvence ve iyi bir alternatif bitkidir. Bu arastirma, iki murdumuk cesidinin cimlenme doneminde tuz stresine karsi tepkilerinin belirlenmesi amaciyla laboratuar kosullarinda gerceklestirilmistir. Bitkisel materyal olarak, yerel bir cesit ile dusuk ODAP icerigine sahip bir cesit olarak tescil edilen Ceora cesidi kullanilmistir. Calisma sonucunda, tuz stresinin cimlenme ve erken fide gelisme ozelliklerini azalttigi tespit edilmistir. Elde edilen sonuclara gore, cimlenme orani %85-100, kokcuk uzunlugu 12.55-77.74 mm, sapcik uzunlugu 23.30-73.12 mm, kokcuk yas agirligi 202.90-951.30 mg ve sapcik yas agirligi 479.98-807.60 mg arasinda degismistir. Murdumuk bitkisinin 150 mM NaCl dozunda bile kabul edilebilir bir cimlenme sagladigi belirlenmistir.
