Goal: This study intends to examine if there are any differences between respiratory functions of performing arts students studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts and those of opera students studying at the State Conservatory, Performing Arts Department. The study is based on the analysis of 58 volunteering students with mean age 22,64±2,53, mean height 174,62±9,02 and mean weight 70,52±15,34. This procedure has been repeated three times through the analysis of Forced Vital Capacity (FVC), first second Forced Expiration Volume (FEV1) and Peak Expiratory Flow (PEF) and the best results have been selected and duly recorded. Findings-Result: The overall obtained data is analyzed through the use of SPSS 22.0 packaged software. Descriptive Statistics is used for determining the distribution of data, Independent Samples t-Test for comparison between groups and Correlation – Bivariate Test for examination of relations between variables. The results are presented both as mean (X) and standard deviation (SD) and P<0,05 is regarded as the significant figure. At the end of our study, PEF and FVC figures appear to provide a significant difference between groups. The findings reveal that there is a significant relation between variables of weight, height and gender with reference to FVC, PEF and FEV1 values and that there is also a significant relation between smoking and PEF values.
