The article analyses issues of innovation by small and medium-sized businesses in Poland and Austria in the context of the Europe 2020 Strategy. Polish cooperation with Austria is visible mainly in the fields of innovative solutions, nature protection, efficient production and respect for natural resources, which significantly affects sustainable economic development and job growth in both countries.
